The subject of Uneven Pavement (Blue) is sidewalk cracks. The lines made by cracks and lifted portions of concrete as well as the shapes of cut paper, converge at center. Tree shadows darken and pattern the page, with circles of light coming through branches. Although the path ahead is not clear, it appears to lead up and to the left. The front and center seem a bit boxed in; and yet, there’s a momentary beauty of shapes and shadows. Its ominant colors are blue, grey, and white.Uneven Pavement (Blue) is a square tactile photo collage (12” x 12”) made from touchable “swell” paper adhered to wood.
